Every Thursday morning those interested on this activity can spend a few very pleasant hours at a hippic centrum close to Funchal, where they can, comfortably and safely, accompanied by professional monitors, perform their horseback baptism, swinging round, saddling and equipping a horse, as well as have complementary lessons. 

The more advanced ones can ride a bit inside the hippic centrum.
